A Mulder Heavy S8 and Beyond

The show moved into a mostly Mulderless new world after Requiem. Scully was pregnant. These stories fit into that timeline, but it's a Muldercentric view of what might be happening in X-Files land.

The Anomaly
Rated R | 248K | Category XA | March 2001 | Spoilers for S8 up to TINH
Mulder gets returned from abduction, but it's Krycek who reaches him first.

Who was looking for Mulder during S8? Imagine Mulder's abduction. Now imagine his safe return. What if the wrong person "welcomes" him home. A chance for me to work with Aptmt42 and Medusa and for us to work with our favourite (fictional) men.

Backlash
Rated R | 310K | Category XA | Sept 2003 | Spoilers for the whole series
Mulder and Scully have been on the run for a year. A series of explosions leads to them being recalled by the FBI.

This started out as my "movie teaser" scene but then decided to head off in its own direction and turned into a long story about justice and revenge.

Dead Time
Rated R | 8K | Category XA | January 2001 | Spoilers for S8 up to TINH
Follows This Is Not Happening from Mulder's perspective. Mulder's "dead" and buried. What's it like down there?

Written while Mulder was still underground.

Rated R | Category XA | May to October 2000 | Spoilers for S7 up to Requiem
A series of stories on Mulder's abduction and the reactions of those left behind. Mulder's missing but Alex Krycek has a way to communicate with him. Scully wants it.

Written after the S7 finale (Requiem) and before S8 began. My attempt to handle Mulder's abduction and a mostly off-screen Mulder. It wasn't very similar to the on-screen S8...

Short Straw
Rated R | 56K | Category XA | June 2002 | Spoilers for the whole series
Deputy Director Alvin Kersh had always considered himself to be a good guy. One day he had to find out the truth.

Kersh's version of the events that saw him appointed Judge at Mulder's trial and his subsequent conduct. Poor Kersh!

Through Perversity
Rated R | 170K | Category XA | June 2001 | Spoilers for the whole of S8
Mulder returns from abduction and death, but it's not long before he finds himself on the run.

I saw the time after Mulder's return in S8 as a missed opportunity. So I decided to take what appeared on-screen and look at it again from a different perspective. It's not a version of history that everyone will enjoy but it's one that a lot of people have liked and it makes sense to me!
