I rush onto the scene, scared that I have lost you. My brain was working overtime. My arms moved like branches on a dead tree. Annoy and useless limbs that impede my advancement. I saw one body and then another. Neither was of you. Shouts of duty hit my ears as those around me sweep the ash away. I have a fear as I notice the crimson waves of hair against the yellow tarp. This is the end. There is nothing left of life. Words I prolonged saying would fall on deaf ears. I look up to see a familiar, a friend whom I am forced to trust. He tells me you're alive, my chance for words to be confessed. As you pass, you are unaware I do everything to save you. They do not allow me to follow. Now I fear the worst.
